There are four versions presented here with a 1947 copyright date. The four manuals have different cover, title pages, copyright pages, and slide rule illustration pages. The rest of all four of these manuals is identical between them.

• "Doric 10000 & 10002 Plastic Slide Rules T" - An early version of the 4168 that also shows a 10" version. These rules are not shown in any K&E catalogs.
• "Doric K&E Co. 9068 Slide Rule" - The 4168 was first released as a 9068 and is shown in the 1949 K&E catalog.
• "Slide Rule Manual No. 4168 Slide Rule" - This was the primary manual for the 4168 in the 1950s.
• "Slide Rule Manual Polyphase Duplex Pocket Slide Rule Manual No. 68 2059" - This was the manual for the 4168 after 1962 in the 68 xxxx series numbers..
