Military Slide Rules

K&E Model 4108, American Blueprint, & Pickett Model 14

WW II through the 1950s Vintage

There were a series of slide rules produced by various manufacturers with the same scale set and titled "MILITARY SLIDE RULE". Even though there is a K&E model number for one of these rules, there is no official documentation from K&E on the rule. There is no mention of it in the catalogs.

A military instruction manual was produced with the title: TM 6-240, War Department Technical Manual, RULE, SLIDE, MILITARY.

16 Inch Bamboo Frame Military Rule (Hemmi?)

These scans are from the collection of Clay Castelberry

The main scale is about 16 inches long. There is no makers mark. The frame is made of bamboo. The cursor looks like a Hemmi cursor design. The case is made of very heavy leather like the American Blueprint rule.
